USASA Big Alaska's First Banked Slalom is in the books. What a great use of a decommissioned super pipe. Alyeska left up the start gate and the berms after the contest so I got to practice the next day--fun! Thanks Alyeska! If you competed, even if you didn't win, you have a first-come, first-served, chance at entering the Banked Slalom at Nationals, just for entering our local event--check out the Nationals page on this website for details.

Last contests for the season will be this Saturday, March 8 at Alyeska:  Slopestyle 3 in the Refinery Park, followed by Rail Jam 3 in Pumpstation 3.  Registration is online (!!) or in-person in the Day Lodge 9-10 am.  See you there!

We have USASA medals for 1st through 3rd places in each age group, a new HI-Flyer Hi-Chew award, and prizes from WEND Waxworks, 686 and Von Zipper, as well as random bib draw swag, and the official candy of the USASA--everybody's favorite flavors of Hi-Chew!
When we hold contests, you can help Alyeska, Hilltop and Big Alaska by entering!!  Keep these winter sports opportunties alive.

Entry fee:  SPECIAL pricing all season!   Your get your first 3 contests for $60  and Big Alaska will pay your $85 USASA membership fee (lift ticket not included, adult ticket with competitor bib discount = $36, cheaper options available for youth at the ticket window)  Why? It's an Olympic year--Big Alaska wants to increase participation in snowboard and freeski contests by making it more affordable, so we are sponsoring a one-year USASA membership if you sign up for any 3 contests this season.  That means that for $60 you get 3 contests and a USASA membership is included.  If you've already paid your USASA membership online, talk to me at in-person contest registration!  After you've paid for your first 3 contests, each additional contest will cost the regular fee of $20.  This deal is not available online.  Come to in-person registration!

Under 18?  You must have a parent present to sign waiver and registration forms (USASA membership form, Alyeska waiver, Big Alaska waiver).  Cash or checks accepted, no credit cards.  If you've already registered online, no worries, see us at the registration table before the event!

If you're on this page, you've already found "more information," but also look for our Facebook page Team BIG Alaska
