Boulder Park Weekend - Slopestyle and Rail jam!

Saturday, February 28th - Slopestyle #2

  • Registration (Day of and pre-registered check in) - 8:00am to 9:00am in Boulder Park Lodge
  • Practice 9:15am - 10:00am on Love Park
  • Rider's meeting 10:10am top of Love Park - Mandatory
  • Run #1 begins at 10:15am (Will run youngest to oldest)
  • Break to rake out jumps at ~11:45am
  • Run #2 begins ~ 12:15pm (Same order as run #1)
  • Awards at Boulder Park Lodge ~ 3:00pm

Sunday, March 1st - Rail Jam #2

  • Registration (Day of and pre-registered check in) - 8:00am to 9:00am in Boulder Park Lodge
  • Practice 9:15am - 10:00am on Plaza 2 (all age groups will practice)
  • Rider's meeting 10:10am top of Plaza 2 - Mandatory (Heats will be announced)
  • Heat #1  10:20am - 10:50am
  • Heat #2  11:00am - 11:30am
  • Heat #3  11:40am - 12:10pm
  • Heat #4  12:20pm - 12:50pm
  • Finals 1pm - 1:30pm (If needed, based on number of athletes in each group.)
  • Awards at Boulder Park Lodge ~ 3:00pm

Additional Information:


  • All athletes need to be a FULL USASA member ($100 for year) to compete OR pay a one day USASA fee of $35 to compete for one day only.  Athletes can sign up for USASA on-site during registration each day between 8:00am - 9:00am
  • In addition to being a USASA member, each event is $20 online (online registration closes at mid-night Thursday, February 26th - Go to and click on events and search mid-atlantic and click on register for the events you want.) or $25 day of registration.  Must be a full USASA member to access online registration.  Athletes can register for the entire weekend of events online or on Saturday or Sunday on site.
  • Lift Tickets:  Discounted lift tickets will be available for athletes only.  Once athletes have their bibs, they will go to the retail shop in the Boulder Park Lodge, show their bib and receive a $35 lift ticket.  Parents can purchase a $53 ticket at the same location or watch from the lodge.
  • Mountain release waivers will NEED to be completed by each athlete who is competing.  Waivers will be available at registration. All athletes who are under the age of 18, will need a guardian to sign for them.
  • Certified USASA Coaches:  Comp lift tickets will be available to all USASA certified coaches.  Coaches MUST present their VALID 2015 USASA Coaches card to receive this ticket.  NO EXCEPTIONS!
  • Helments are MANDATORY to practice and compete!  Inverts are allowed during the competition!

USASA Membership Information

Every rider practicing or competing in any USASA sanctioned event must attain USASA membership prior to participating. Memberships can be purchased online or at an event. There are 2 types of memberships available which are as follows:

· One Day membership: $35 – This membership is intended for riders that only want to compete for one day but have no intention of becoming a full member of USASA or qualifying for the National Championships. It is valid for one (1) day at any USASA sanctioned event(s). This membership allows riders to participate in practice and competitions for 1 day ONLY, yet NO USASA points will be awarded or transferable at a later date.

· JOIN ONLINE Full membership: $100 – This membership is valid for one (1) full membership season at any USASA sanctioned event. Points will be earned toward Regional and National rankings and the rider can qualify for the National Championships. Full membership riders will receive an official membership packet by mail including a membership card, stickers, current rulebook and other benefits. JOIN ONLINE

Registration Options

o $20 per event

o Open until 11:59pm EST on Thursdays for that weekend’s events

o Go to USASA Regional Events, choose Mid-Atlantic as the region, click on the discipline abbreviation at the end of the event line you want to register for, then follow steps to register online.

o If you register online, you can check-in the morning of the event from 8:00am - 9:00am in the Pre-Registered line.

o All athletes will be required to sign a mountain release form. (If under 18yrs. old, a parent or guardian must sign)

· Day-Of Registration

o $25 per event

o Open from 8:00am - 9:00am

Competition Start Time

· Practice or course inspection 9:15am – 10am

· MANDATORY Rider’s Meeting @ top of course 10:10am

· Event starts 10:15am

Release Forms

· All competitors need to sign a Mountain release for each day of an event.

· Any competitors under 18 years old will need a parent/guardian to sign the releases.


· Approved Helmets are REQUIRED for ALL EVENTS.

· Helmet straps must be adjusted according to manufacturer specifications, and must be on the head of the rider for the entire run.


· Snowboarders and Skiers are permitted in Slopestyle, Rail Jam and Boardercross/Skiercross.

· Giant Slalom and Slalom events are snowboarder only events.

· Adaptive Snowboarders and Skiers are welcome at our events.


· These events are open to ALL ages.

· Athletes will compete within their own age groups with male and female top 3 award medallions presented in each age group.

· Rail Jam Slalom age groups are “9 & Under", "10-13", “14 & Over” and "Open Class" for snowboarders and skiers.

· There is an Open Class for high-end athletes and Pros of all ages.

Competition Formats

· Giant Slalom & Slalom Events – 2 Runs Combined Time

· Slopestyle Events – Best of 2 Judged Runs

· Boardercross/Skiercross Events – Head-to-Head with various advancement based on field size (elimination tournament style)

· Rail Jams - Overall Impression of Jam Session Runs

Awards Ceremony and Prize Raffle


· Approximately 1 hour after event is finished
