Tuesday, April 12th marked not only our last day of USASA Ski Nationals, but also the last day of our entire event. The weather was decently warm but cloudy. It was a nice break from the scalding sun that we had the day before! Like the previous 2 days, we had ski competitors in halfpipe, skiercross, and slopestyle throughout the day.

USASA Ski Nationals: Competition Day 2
Today ended up being a beautify day at all the venues! The snow that gave us some issues yesterday blew westward and left us with sunny skies all day long. When not competing, the athletes could be found all over the mountain checking out the powder. In fact, boys 10-12 skiercross champion, Kai Sherman, was found on the backside of Copper Mountain sporting his #1 bib!

USASA Ski Nationals: Practice and Opening Ceremonies!
Today marked the first day for the 2011 USASA Ski Nationals. This is also the very first year that Ski Nationals is an exclusive event; in the past, Ski Nationals has always been integrated with USASA’s snowboard event. Thus, skiers of all ages practiced in halfpipe, slopestyle, and skiercross throughout the day, while taking some time off tonight for opening ceremonies.
