A parade of fresskiers from around the nation kicked of the 2017 USASA Freeski Nationals here at Copper Mountain, CO. Over 700 freeskiers from the ages of 5 to 65 are on the hunt for 2017 USASA National Championship titles in slopestyle, halfpipe, skicross and rail jam.
Last night KIND Snacks honored 32 freeskiers from each series who showed kindness and community-minded efforts with their KINDest Rider Award. Athletes like, Landyn Morris, Elias Huber and Hannah Johnson walked away with bags filled with KIND swag for their not so random acts of kindness this season.
Competition kicked off right after opening ceremonies with Open Class freeskiers taking to the rail jam set up. The night belonged to Mt. Hood Series skier, Tucker Fitzsimmons, who dominated the men’s competition and Elieen Gu, from the North Tahoe Series, who took home gold for the women.
