The first Slopestyle event of the season took place in Hunter Mountain’s Park Avenue terrain park. Mike Valez and his park crew (local Bozwreck crew) built a jump line that consisted of a flat box, to a medium table jump, to an option of flat box or a flat down rail or a corrugated pipe/log jam, to a large table (with a smaller option), to an even larger jump (also with a smaller option), to the NIKE 6.0 car (a multi option box feature). These six features made a wide variety of runs possible and over 75 athletes showed up in -4 degree weather.
Hello everyone! Long time no talk. I’ve been quite busy these days. Since the Olympic year has started it has been a hectic one for everyone. I started off the season with some early season halfpipe training at Copper in the new 22ft pipe. This pipe was amazing and really allowed everyone to take their riding to new levels. I learned some new tricks and got my run dialed in time for the Copper Mtn. Grand Prix. I was very happy with my riding in the contest and landed both my runs in the qualifiers.
