Lyon Farrell, Chandler Hunt and Asher Humphreys went one, two, three in Open Class slopestyle finals Thursday. Lyon Farrell, who broke his board in practice, stomped a backside triple cork 1440 on the last run of the day to take home USASA Nationals gold. Farrell’s triple is only the second triple ever to be landed in Nationals’ competition, last year’s champion Chris Corning landed the first.  One the women’s side, U.S. Snowboarding Team member, Hailey Mattingly, edged out Ty Schnorrbusch and Lydia Silber to claim the USASA National Championships title.

The day belonged to Dusty Henricksen in the Breaker boys halfpipe competition, Dusty  impressed the judges with huge amplitude and a crippler that earned him Columbia Sportswear’s Best Trick award along with Snurfer’s Highest Air. Once again, Valentino Guseli took gold in Menehune boys division.

The alpine courses were running fast with Lexi Bullis, Annie Erickson, Lily Janousek took gold in Giant Slalom while Nate True and Will Taylor cleaned up.

The Grommets and Kahunas took to the snowboardcross course with Noah Avallone and Chelsea Kelley taking gold in boys and girls Grommet divisions.
