Let the Games Begin!

The 28th annual USASA National Championships is officially underway. Nearly 2,000 USASA athletes have descended upon Copper Mountain, CO in anticipation of becoming a 2017 USASA National Champion in halfpipe, slopestyle, rail jam, giant slalom, slalom, snowboardcross and skiercross. Snowboard week's opening ceremony parade honored all of our 32 regional series and the competitors who will represent them here at Copper.

Honor and gratitude was the name of the game lwith KIND Snacks honoring one rider from each series who demonstrated kindness both on and off the hill with their KINDest Rider Award. Recipients like Mid-Atlantic series rider, Mazee Simpson, and Mt. Hood Series rider, Caleb Ingersoll, we’re nominated by their series directors for being supportive, community-minded riders.

USASA’s Executive Director, Mike Mallon, continued the gratitude theme by sharing the words of riders from across the nation giving thanks to their mentors, parents, coaches and friends while highlighting USASA’s core values of Respect, Excellence and Fun.

Snowboard competition starts April 2nd- April 6th. Freeski week kicks off April 8th-12th. Click here for the complete schedule and download the the mobile app at m.mobile.usasa.org to follow live scoring and results.
