As always, the Copper Grand Prix started off this season with a bang! The pipe got better every day, and it was awesome getting to see everyone after some time off. I ended up landing one run in the qualifiers, but in the end I didn’t make it to finals. Although I didn’t make it, it was a good time watching some other Burton girls throw down in the final! Congrats to Kelly Clark on the win, and to Maddy Schaffrick on making such an amazing comeback with second!
Just a few days after the Grand Prix, the Breckenridge Dew Tour started. The pipe was big and smooth, so it was pretty easy to adjust to despite not getting much practice time. On the qualifying day it snowed, which made it difficult to get speed, but I still put down the run that I needed to make it into semi finals. The day of semis turned out to be bluebird, so everyone was riding their best. I landed the run that I was looking for, but it wasn’t enough to get into finals. Finals day was perfect and everyone rode really well. I’m bummed to see everyone heading home, but super excited to go back to Steamboat and spend the holidays with my family and friends.
