Hey there!
Ty Walker at the Copper Rev TourWishing everyone a happy holiday! I’m super excited to get home: It’s been a long month in Colorado! After a few weeks of fundamental work with my coach Dave and A LOT of drills, and I am definitely happy to rest for a while.
This past month, I made the decision to not compete as much as I had last season (doing Grand Prix, Dew Tour, USASA Nationals, and both events in Rev Tour). I skipped the Grand Prix along with the Dew Tour and only entered Rev Tour Slope, which I competed in today. Practice didn’t go well yesterday, and the course needed to be fixed a little bit, but this morning I was pretty pumped to ride and compete for my first time this season.  At least, as much as I could be having to wake up at 6:15.
Luckily, the course had a lot of work done to it and practice went pretty well for me. I made it to finals in 2nd place and ended up winning the contest in the afternoon! Happy for my first victory of the season and hopefully more to come!
Happy Holidays!
