Spencer ShawHey everyone how’s it going? The start to my winter is going great and I’m very motivated this year. The first Grand prix at copper and made finals and took 10th place over all. I landed a great run, front 10, cab 7, air, back 9, and front 12. I was very excited with my riding that day. Soon after the contest I did interviews with 5 different magazines, which I am very excited to see what they publish.

The next contest I performed in back to back without any days off was the Revolution Tour at Copper Mountain. That day was very interesting, I was exhausted by the end of the day. I ended up wining my heat, moved into finals in second place behind an Olympian from Japan. My first run I messed up and it counted as a throwaway run. My next run was pretty much in the dark, it was so hard to see and I was 2nd to last to drop. I dropped in landed, Front 10, cab 7, front 9, and backside air, into front 12. I knew right away my 12-won best trick but I had no idea on my results, I was just happy to make it down alive. Then everyone came running up to me and said I won, I was very excited and shocked.

Everyone rode extremely well and I was so excited, I ended up beating  an Olympian form Japan and an X-games gold medalist. It was a great day and today I have to compete in the Mt Dew Tour at Breckenridge. I hope I perform as well as I did at copper, Wish me luck, I’ll talk to everyone soon.
