Ryan Stassel Update

Hey everyone, Ryan here!

I hope everyone is having a fun season riding because I’ve just been having too much of it. These past few weeks have been wild traveling from comp to comp with last minute entries all mixed with long days of practice in between.

Arielle Gold: Halfpipe World Champion

thumb_world_championAbout a week ago I made the last minute decision to travel to Quebec, Canada for World Championships. The first few days there were beautiful and sunny, and the pipe was better than I had hoped for. Practice went well, but I kept my expectations low. I ride better with less pressure. The contest day turned out to be pretty snowy, so there was about a foot of pow in the flat bottom. The conditions made the pipe pretty slow, but it was a level playing field.

Jed Sky: Hole in the Wall-Ride

Wall RideIt was another bluebird day at Mammoth Mountain. There wasn't a cloud in sight to hide the sun kissed snow from all of us looking for good times on the mountain. Looking to get out of the park on an adventure, a group of us went to an out-of-bounds spot called 'hole in the wall'.

Jamie Crane-Mauzy- USASA Ski Team Member Update

Jamie Crane-MauzyHey everyone!

Happy New Years! First of all, congrats to all on still being alive!

I’m looking forward to a really exciting and productive 2013! Thanks to my win at USASA nationals Open Class in slope, I got invited to the first half pipe world cup down in New Zealand last summer! That was my first big pipe comp back and I ended up in 9! Second out of U.S girls! I also did the New Zealand Open in Slope and ended up getting 7! The second U.S. girl again!

Faye Gulini: Early Season Update

Hey everyone,

thumb_millerflipWishing you all a late Happy Holidays, hope your seasons been good. As for me, my seasons been great so far. I finished the semester strong with a 4.0, and headed to Telluride for the first World Cup of the season. I was pretty nervous because I had to miss the training camp to study for finals, but all went well and I finished in 9th and was the only US girl to qualify.

Paul Brichta: Cranking in the off season

Paul Brichta BoulderingHi everyone,

Here’s an update of the time I spent at school in the fall. I was at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah for the past 3 months where I was taking 3 classes. Multivariable calculus, intro to computer science, and an environmental justice course.
