After years of tireless work and commitment to the USASA, Karen Mertl has retired as the Administrative Assistant. With the rapid growth of the USASA it was time to expand the job duties and time commitment to keep up with the demands of the organization. Karen was a huge part of the USASA family and her daily involovement will be missed. She will continue to run the North Tahoe Series with her husband and will most likely still be a staff member at Nationals.
Linda Neil, Zippy as she is known to everyone in the USASA, has stepped in to the new position of Executive Assistant and will be handling all the day to day office duties and will be assisting the Executive Director with everything from membership to accounting. With the additional time commitment to the USASA we will be able to process membership packets in house for faster delivery to members, answer phone calls and emails quickly and efficiently and provide even better customer service to our members.
Anyone who has ever been to a South Tahoe Series event or attended Nationals in the past 10 years will know Zippy and her enthusiasm for the USASA, we are lucky to have her on board and stoked for the future of the organization. "I am so honored and excited to be given the opportunity to work for and serve the USASA family as the new Executive Assistant to Jason Toutolmin. As a member, competitor and volunteer since 1997 I have watched the USASA grow into an amazing organization of which I am so proud to be working for. I wish I could tell you that this opportunity will quiet me down, keep me off the hill and away from all my USASA friends and family, but you know it won’t! I look forward to working for Jason and keeping the USASA community a HUGE part of mine and my family’s lives."
Welcome aboard Zippy!
