Kim Krahulec Season Wrap Up

This season has gone by so fast, I can't believe that its spring already! Image This past year we started off with a trip to Argentina. Between the 30 hours of traveling, ghetto airplanes and crazy car rides in Buenos Aires, it turned out to be well worth it. The first week we were there it snowed 9 ft in three days. Some of the most epic powder riding I have ever been in. We got the local treatment by Travis and the guys at South American Snow Sessions, showing us all the secret stashes.

Tyler Anderson Interview

tylerhead.jpgTyler Anderson is going into his second year as a PacSun/USASA Team member. Hailing from Chanhassen, Minnesota Tyler has had some rad experiences, from shredding in Hood at High Cascade to the streets of New York for the RedBull Snowscrapers session.

So, Tell me about your first hit second run yesterday. Miah requested this question.

Well, I dropped in with way more speed than I needed, no speed checks, and did the most terrifying 900 of my life. It was definitely bigger than I have ever gone and landed in the flats. I was pretty sure I blew both knees for a minute. I got a small second hit then got it back together for the rest of the run. It was pretty much over as far as points go though.

Molly Wilson Interview

Molly Wilson is having a banger year. She took bronze in open women pipe yesterday and followed that with a first place finish in open slopestyle today. She is a definite up and comer and a member of the PacSun/USASA Team. She blew the judges away in slope today, cementing her status as one to watch. I sat down with her to see what’s up.
You have really blown up this year, making the PacSun/USASA team and getting on the podium at almost every event you’ve been at. What has this year been like for you?

It’s a nice change. It like something just clicked at the beginning of the year and I just found a new love for snowboarding. I went to Hood with the PacSun/USASA team over the summer...

Junior World Championships: Update!

Friday March 6, 2009

DSC01389.jpgThe postponed SBX finals took place on Thursday morning under a totally clear sky.  After our “fog out” day, the blue skies and sunshine were a welcome sight.  The riders had not lost their eagerness to get out and race against the best SBX juniors in the world.  In women’s action, Jenna Feldman, Jackie Hernandez and Faye Gulini were all eliminated in their first heats despite strong riding in training. Final results had Faye leading the US women in 9th place with Jackie right behind her in the 12th spot.  Jenna rounded out the Finals field in 16th place.
