We have relatives coming out to see the GS & SL, which are at the top of the American Eagle lift.

Does anyone know what Copper is doing for spectators at that site?

Can people walk from the top of American Eagle to the course?

Do they provide 'Spectator' lift tickets that just get you to the top of the lift?

Thanx!

No you can't walk to it its to high up. You will be able to purchase a lift ticket or a snow cat ride for 15.00.

Actually, if I remember correctly, last year the course was actually a bit downhill and to the left of the lift, and people could take the lift on foot to watch the event. There are details about prices and how to watch the events on the Nationals 2010 page under "News".

Just got this info from Copper Mtn:

Access the venue via the American Eagle lift with a “foot passenger” ticket which is available for $15 at the ticket window.

It’s a very quick ride up taking less than 10 minutes. Just remember to wear appropriate outdoor footwear since they will be walking on snow. Once to the top of the Eagle they will be able to go indoors at Solitude Station to use the restrooms, purchase food or just to get warm. After the event they may simply walk the 100 yards back to the American Eagle lift and ride back down.
