As a collaborative effort from professionals in the USASA community and working alongside US Ski and Snowboard and our many parent resource partners we aim to provide and share relative information in support of the USASA’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values.

Every US Olympic Snowboard Team member since 2006 started their competitive careers at USASA and this year, 10 snowboarding Olympians, including gold medalist Chloe Kim, big air silver medalist Kyle Mack and bronze medalists Arielle Gold and Alex Deibold took the opportunity to return to USASA Nationals to share their journeys from regional USASA series riders to Olympic athletes. Jake Pates, Mike Trapp, Mick Deirdorff and Paralympic gold medalists Evan Strong and Mike Minor also joined the panel and shared their experiences of success and struggle to packed room of excited 2018 USASA National Championship competitors.


The 29th Annual USASA National Championships kicked off at Copper Mountain, CO with the opening ceremonies parade and festivities celebrating 1,900 competitors hailing from 32 regional series across the US. USASA National Championships celebrates its 11th year of Nationals at Copper Mountain, CO. Snowboard competition starts tomorrow on slopestyle, halfpipe, Snowboardcross, slalom, giant slalom and rail jam and continues through April 5th with Freeskiing action starting April 7th-11th.

* Rail Jam Practice from 1:00 to 3:00 pm daily for the competition group scheduled to compete that evening.  Rail Jam events will begin at 5:30 pm nightly

* Daily schedules will be confirmed each evening prior to the event at the TC meeting. All schedules subject to change.

* Groups 1 and 5 will be on the Large side and all others will be on the Med/Small line for slopestyle.

ALL OPEN CLASS MUST HAVE A FIS LICENSE

104 USASA members qualified for the 2018 Toyota U.S. Revolution Tour via USASA events held in 2017. Fifty-seven snowboard athletes and forty-seven freeskiing athletes will drop into the 2018 U.S. Revolution Tour.  The USASA will also host 4 Rev Tour qualifiers throughout the season to give athletes who have yet to secure a Rev Tour spot an opportunity to earn one. USASA and U.S. Ski & Snowboard's continued partnership supports freeskiing and snowboarding athletes' progression and provides a pipeline from grassroots local events to Olympic gold. 

The final round of invitations to the USASA National Championship expired at midnight last night, Sunday March 26th, 2017, online event registration is now closed. 1870 snowboarders and freeskiers registered for one or more events, making this the biggest National Championship ever!
